We have been online only since 25 May 2007 and already, we have received more than 50,000 hits. Even more impressive, we are already in the top search results for many of Uganda's top artistes. Google Julianna Kanyomozi or Mesach Semakula and see for yourself, if you don't believe us.

Of course, our visitors have been voting with their mice as to who Uganda's best singer is, at least as far as the videos at our website go. As your would expect, there are a few surprises. Would you have imagined, for example, that Chameleone would not feature among the top 10? But at the same time, many of the usual suspects are well represented.

Here, then, are the top 10 Ugandan videos of June 2007. Note that the hits do not refer to the number of times a video has been played, but the number of unique computers that have played the video. Hence a video that has been played 1,000 times by the same computer will register only one hit. It follows, therefore, that almost all these videos would have been played many more times that the hits indicate.

The top 10:

Our recommendation of the month

Music videos aside, you should not miss the five part documentary on former President Idi Amin from the History Channel. If you watched The Last King of Scotland and couldn't tell fiction from reality, this documentary might just help you do that. Here are the five parts:
