1. So, what is UgandaVideos? The place where you can view, upload, publish and download videos related to Uganda, including your personal videos. It's not just the videos, you can upload and show off your photos too. And there is UVradio, if you can't be bothered with all the video stuff. Oh, did we mention it is all free? 2. What is the difference between view, upload, publish and download? - View: Watch any of the videos available at UgandaVideos.
- Upload: Store and show-off your videos at UgandaVideos. All your videos will be available to the general public to watch.
- Publish: If you already have videos at other major sites like YouTube or Google Videos, you can publish the same videos at UgandaVideos without having to upload them again (we save you the double work!). Just provide the link to your videos and they will show up at UgandaVideos automatically. Sleek, heh?
- Download: All videos available at UgandaVideos can be downloaded to your computer or other device for free
Note: Uploading, publishing and downloading requires registration. It is free. 3. I registered but I get an error when I try to log in! - Try clearing your cache. That is, delete the temporary files stored by your web browser.
- Some firewall systems prevent you logging into sites not registered with the firewall programme. Add ugandavideos.com to the list of your registered sites. Alternatively, shut down your firewall, log in, and turn on the firewall again.
4. What other services does UgandaVideos provide? Registered members get a free email address (

Your email password is different from your UgandaVideos user account password (unless you have modified your passwords to be the same). Additionally, when logging into your email account, supply your full email address (

Videos must be in Flash (.flv) format to play. If your video is in a different format such as Windows Media, MPEG or Quicktime, you must convert it to Flash before you upload it. There are many sites which instantly covert your videos free online. Just search for "free online video conversion" on the Internet. There are also free (and of course commercial) programmes that you can download from the internet and install on your computer to convert your movies to flash format. The one we particularly like is Internet Video Converter from IVC Soft (http://www.ivcsoft.free.fr). UPDATE: Though we recommend Flash, we now support all common video formats, including MPEG, Windows Media Video and Audi Video Interleave. No more need to convert your videos before uploading them. 8. I can't upload my videos! Either you have a poor Internet connection or your file is too big. We accept files that are not more than 20MB large. If your file is larger, we recommend that you upload it at YouTube or Google Video and just publish it at UgandaVideo by providing the link. 9. So are you guys are like the Bill Gates of Uganda? Bill who??? 10. I don't have a fast enough Internet connection (I live in the stone age) yet there are videos I must, must upload to UgandaVideos. What do I do? Send the videos to us on CD or DVD and we shall do all the hard work for you. Send to UgandaVideos.com, P.O.Box 21384, Kampala, Uganda. Note that we are not able to return any material you send us! (we are rich, but not that rich). 11. God! I hate Joseph Kony! Why don't you create a video about it and upload it at UgandaVideos? 12. I downloaded a video from UgandaVideos but it has a funny name and it won't play, which is not funny! Rename the file to any name your fancy, making sure that it has the extension .flv (e.g. myvideo.flv). Of course, you must have a flash video player installed on your computer to play the video. You can download a free flash video player from the internet. 13. What do I do if I need further help, or just to chat? Shoot us an email through the contacts page. 14. I don't like the number 13! Neither do we, that is why we added this useless line, so that we stop at 14. Clever, heh?
