They should introduce a category for Ugandan musicians in the category. I think people like Katumwa, Zani, Bataka Squad, Jaqee, etc need to be recognised.

By the way, how come Afrigo band and Misty Jazz band have never got any awards for best live performing bands? It amazes me alot that every year Eagles production band or Kads band take the awards they are amatures compared to Afrigo and Misty. No wounder people that dont understand music vote the most. Its a pitty.

I think Moze Radio and weazle deserved the artist of the year category.They have done great work this year round.I wouldn't complain if they were nominated most..Almost all their songs suit the "Song of the year Acorade"...!!Any way,all artists nominated are good but "Omrich" is the best!! When I hear guys call themsleves things like Mazzi mawanvu,Munene menene en the rest,I fail to get the right word to use when describing "Omrich".I used to like Maurice's vocals,Cute kaye en titan takuba but when I heard this Guy sing,I couldn't believe he's Ugandan.WATCHOUT!!!2009 is a year of real things.We are tired of Kiwani!!We know wat music is meant to be.(In his style however,Jose Chameleon is better than all those nominated).

We do appreciate the great job you're doing to recognise the young and rising talents in Uganda,but that's not enough. I think the organisers should make special arrangements for the top winners (1or2), to record with some international artistsfromEurope or the US and release a record you never know what happens.
We have got sop many talents in Uganda but no body knows them apart from performing in the Pubs.
TO our artists,you guys need to start composing songs in a foreign language and be consistent to it,if its English or Swahiri,try to be fluent...God BLess you all.

its sad tht after wht uganda has gone thrgh in the music industry we still have'nt learnt about the music agenda first i think the voting has alot of qns b'coz the nominee, are best on who do i knw sings well and i guess which song do pipo like most.but as a person who i feel tht i have experianced all kinds of music tht africa produces i would really ask the PAM commette to look for pipo who have improved music either socially,economically but mostly what do thy give back to the sociaty tht promotes them the bongo artists have a saying ''hao ndio kio cha njami'' they are the reflection of the community can we atleast have a begging for the music industry role in community based works,secondly look at the content of the music and wht the musician has put in up to now i have failed to understand why mourice kirya has never been recongised surely are we serious about this or its another case of the SUDIR janda lotary,thing help me out PAM help me out!!!coz am surely and painfully
